Tina received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mid- America Christian University with a wide variety of clinical experience. I am working towards my LCPC and pending licensure for the state of Illinois. Tina specializes in working in office, telehealth and hospital settings to encourage mental health support and reduce mental health stigma. I have many years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and belief systems. I have worked with adults who have Severe and Persistent Mental Illness such as Schizophrenia, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar I, as well as co-occurring substance use disorders. Tina has experience in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, PTSD, dissociative disorders, trauma, spirituality, life transitions, and relational problems. She is passionate about helping individuals, families, and relationships of any kind to help people more wholly connect with themselves and others. Tina’ empathy and warmth help to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process and heal. My experience ranges from working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors. She utilizes various therapeutic approaches including family systems, SFT and CBT. Tina also holds an associate degree in biblical studies. She graduated from college was then known as Cross Bible College in 2012 (Munster, IN)., over 20 years as a medical professional and over ten years of case management experience. Tina was present with a Spirit Award for exercising the fruit of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22-23
As a spiritual leader and mental health professional, I encourage people to take care of themselves. Self-care is vital. My goal is to see individuals heal from trauma and life-issues one day at a time.
